This pair is a dark and solid grayish-greenish, but not black. This pair displays a moderate "peacock" effect, typical of Tahitian pearls in certain lighting conditions. 
 
Luster is very good and surfaces are smooth and clean. The matching on this pair is good, but a slight mismatch is exaggerated in studio light. This pair is an excellent foray into the world of Tahitian pearls, be that through easily worn studs or flattering dangles.
